Enviroprobe Services performed a subsurface void locating in esplanades of New York City. Ground depressions and sinkholes had been found in these esplanades. Enviroprobe was contracted to detect possible subsurface void spaces related to sinkholes and ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys were conducted.

Varies of GPR anomalies were found indicating varieties of subsurface conditions including voids and possible sinkholes. The findings were marked on-site with spray paints and the results including GPR data profiles and were summarized.
